UKRAINE: SURGE IN OLIVE OIL IMPORTS FROM ITALY IN JANUARY 2026
In January 2026, Ukraine’s imports of olive oil rose sharply, totaling €1.26 million, a 66.64% increase compared to January 2025. Italy emerged as the dominant supplier, with imports reaching €449,260, marking a 130.68% increase year-on-year. Italy’s market share expanded significantly to 35.62%, consolidating its leadership position.Spain, traditionally the largest supplier, saw a slight decline of 1.07%, with imports amounting to €410,134, reducing its market share to 32.52%. Greece experienced a steep drop of 33.65%, falling to €85,453 and just 6.78% of the market. Meanwhile, Poland entered the market strongly, supplying €309,186 worth of olive oil and capturing 24.51% of Ukraine’s imports. (ICE KIEV)
