GLOBAL RECOGNITION FOR INDONESIA’S SUSTAINABLE FISHERIES MANAGEMENT
Indonesia was praised at the UN FAO forum in Iceland for its leadership in sustainable, small-scale fisheries management. The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) highlighted Indonesia as a global model for strategic partnerships between government, industry, and civil society. Currently managing seven MSC Improvement Programs, Indonesia utilizes science-based approaches and "blue economy" policies to enhance transparency and harvest control. This collaborative framework not only strengthens national food security but also elevates the credibility and value of Indonesian seafood in international markets while supporting the welfare of local coastal communities.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5438078/indonesia-jadi-contoh-pengelolaan-perikanan-berkelanjutan-di-forum-fao (ICE GIACARTA)
