Tau-Ken Samruk increases Zhosabay gold resources by 68% to 8.2 tonnes following explorationNational Mining Company Tau-Ken Samruk JSC has increased the estimated gold reserves at the Zhosabay deposit to 8.2 tonnes following exploration work in 2025, which is a 68% higher than the previous estimation, the company said."The total volume of recoverable mineral resources amounted to 8,182.2 kilograms of gold, which is 68% higher than the volume of resources previously recorded on the state balance (4,862.2 kg)," the company said in a statement.According to the company, 786.7 kilograms of gold were transferred from the Indicated Category to the Measured Category. Indicated Resources increased by 1,338 kilograms, a 30% rise, while Inferred Resources grew from 481.5 kilograms to 1,676.8 kilograms, a 248% increase.Exploration drilling has reached 7,340 linear meters, and the 3D block model of the deposit has been updated. The planned drilling volume for 2026 is 8,590 linear meters, of which 1,160 linear meters across five wells have already been completed.Further work will focus on upgrading mineral resource categories and preparing updated mineral resources and reserves for submission to the State Balance by the end of 2027.Akmit LLP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tau-Ken Samruk, hold a license for the development of the Zhosabay deposit. Drilling operations are being carried out by Kazgeology Drilling LLP, a subsidiary of Kazgeology JSC.The Zhosabay deposit is located in the Shet district of the Karaganda region in central Kazakhstan.National Mining Company Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, organized in 2009, is the national operator of mining assets in Kazakhstan.
