Revenues to Kazakhstan national budget from taxes jump 29.4% to nearly 3 trln tenge in Jan-FebThe government budget of Kazakhstan received nearly 3 trillion tenge in taxes in January-February 2026, the press service of the State Revenue Committee under the Finance Ministry said a statement on Monday.“As of March 1, tax collections to the government budget were 13.7% above the target totaling 2.979 billion tenge. This is an increase of 29.4% or 677.5 billion tenge compared with the same period of the previous year,” the statement said.VAT payments to the budget totaled 1.5 trillion tenge as of March 1 of this year vs. the target of about 1.3 trillion tenge.A new Tax Code came into force in Kazakhstan from January 1, 2026, raising the VAT rate to 16% from 12%.
