INDONESIA RECORDS $0.95 BILLION TRADE SURPLUS IN JANUARY 2026 AS MANUFACTURING Thrives
Indonesia’s export performance in January 2026 reached $22.16 billion, marking a 3.39% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by the manufacturing sector, which contributed over 83% of total exports, with processed palm oil, nickel, and tin leading the surge. Notably, tin exports skyrocketed by 191% following the ore export ban and a significant jump in global prices. While agriculture and mining saw declines, the trade balance remained in a surplus of $0.95 billion. China, the USA, and India remain Indonesia's top export markets, while emerging destinations like Spain and Egypt showed the highest growth rates.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5454467/kemendag-produk-olahan-sawit-dan-nikel-dongkrak-ekspor-ri (ICE GIACARTA)
