TECHNOLOGY AND AI TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE SECTOR, SAYS UNION MINISTER DR. JITENDRA SINGH

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, highlighted that technology and artificial intelligence (AI) are playing a transformative role in India’s healthcare sector. While addressing a healthcare-related event, he noted that the growing adoption of digital technologies and AI-driven solutions is significantly improving healthcare services across the country. The integration of advanced technologies into the healthcare system is enabling more accurate diagnosis, efficient treatment, and improved patient care. Increasing use of digital platforms and AI-based tools is also helping healthcare professionals enhance service delivery and expand access to medical services.The development of technology-enabled healthcare systems is also supporting progress in medical research, telemedicine, and personalised treatment solutions. AI-based tools allow medical professionals to analyse large volumes of health data, enabling faster decision-making and more effective disease management. The expanding digital health ecosystem in India is strengthening healthcare infrastructure and facilitating wider access to quality medical services across urban as well as rural areas. Continued emphasis on technological innovation, research, and digital transformation is expected to play an important role in improving healthcare delivery and enhancing the efficiency of health systems.
