KAZAKHSTAN-OIL-PLANT-CONSTRUCTION

Oil extraction plant with annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes to be built in KokshetauSodruzhestvo-Kazakhstan LLP, which is part of Russia’s Sodruzhestvo Group, will build an oil extraction plant in Kokshetau with annual output of up to 300,000 tonnes of vegetable oil, the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday.The project, to be implemented in the Akmola region, provide for the construction of a high-tech facility for the deep processing of oilseeds, including sunflower, rapeseed, soybeans and flax, the ministry said in a statement.Total investment is estimated at 76 billion tenge.The design capacity of the plant will be up to 3,000 tonnes of oilseeds per day, or around 1 million tonnes per year. In addition to vegetable oil, it is expected to produce between 400,000 and 500,000 tonnes of oil-seed meal and oilcake annually.Construction is scheduled to take between 18 and 36 months. The project is expected to create up to 400 jobs.According to publicly available data, Sodruzhestvo-Kazakhstan LLP is engaged in cargo transportation and the wholesale trade of grain, oilseeds and animal feed.Founded in 1994, Sodruzhestvo Group is an international vertically integrated agro-industrial holding producing soybean and rapeseed oil, soybean and rapeseed meal, lecithin and soy protein concentrate.As previously reported, ALTAI MAI launched in December 2025 a full-cycle oil extraction plant in Ust-Kamenogorsk with a processing capacity of 500 tonnes per day.
