The government on Sunday launched a package of strategic initiatives for the agriculture and food security sector under the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026–2029), within the "High-Value Industries" engine, aimed at supporting research, development and innovation; expanding the use of modern technologies; enhancing Jordan’s global competitiveness; and improving the efficiency of the national food security system. The sector’s executive plan is based on a clear methodology to achieve strategic objectives through the "Encouraging modernization and innovation in the agricultural sector and expanding the use of modern technologies" initiative. The initiative’s projects will be implemented during 2026–2029 by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the National Agricultural Research Center. (ICE AMMAN)
