Kazakhstan plans 18.5 mln sq m of housing completions in 2026Kazakhstan plans to complete 18.5 million square meters of housing in 2026, Industry and Construction Minister Yersayin Nagaspayev said.“The volume of housing completions in 2026 will total 18.5 million square meters,” Nagaspayev said at a government meeting on Tuesday.The minister added that the figure could increase with additional measures to support the construction sector.The largest volumes of housing completions are expected in the largest cities of the country – Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, he said.According to Nagaspayev, the government has been tasked under the president’s election program with building 111 million square meters of housing over seven years.The minister also said housing construction in the country has exceeded planned targets for three consecutive years. In 2023, with a target of 15.3 million square meters, 17.8 million square meters were completed; in 2024, with a target of 15.5 million square meters, 19.1 million were completed; and in 2025, with a target of 15.7 million square meters, 20.1 million were completed.
