USDA raises forecast for Kazakhstan wheat exports to 10.5 million tonnesThe U.S. Department of Agriculture has raised its forecast for Kazakhstan's wheat exports in the current agricultural year.In its March report, the USDA raised its projection for shipments from July 2025 to June 2026 to 10.5 million metric tonnes, up from its February forecast of 9.7 million tonnes. The import forecast was unchanged at 700,000 tonnes.The department also increased its estimate for Kazakhstan's wheat harvest this season to 19.3 million tonnes, up from a previous forecast of 18.9 million tonnes. It left its estimate for beginning stocks unchanged at 4.03 million tonnes.In the previous agricultural year, which ended in June 2025, Kazakhstan exported 10.2 million tonnes of wheat and imported 500,000 tonnes. The country produced 18.58 million tonnes of wheat that season, with beginning stocks estimated at 3.45 million tonnes. (ICE ALMATY)
