Kazakhstan plans to build five automotive gas filling compressor stations in 2026Kazakhstan plans to build five automotive gas filling compressor stations (CNG) in 2026, Vice Minister of Energy Kaiyrkhan Tutkyshbayev told Interfax-Kazakhstan."In 2026, it is planned to build five CNG stations: two in Almaty, and one each in Taraz, Aktobe, and the Zhetysu region," according to Tutkyshbaev's response to the agency's inquiry.According to his data, there are currently 26 CNG stations operating in Kazakhstan.Earlier, the scientific-production company Grasis reported that it had become a participant in the agreement on the development of the gas motor fuel project in Kazakhstan, signed during a meeting of the joint coordination council of PJSC Gazprom and the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.The company noted that a gas filling station, built as part of international cooperation, is already operating in Astana, providing eco-friendly fuel to the bus fleet and commercial transport.The agreement provides for the creation of a network of modern gas filling stations.As explained by SPC Grasis, the implementation of the project will provide gas motor fuel to commercial passenger transport, as well as increase the transit of trucks from Uzbekistan and China to Russia and Western European countries.The Russian scientific-production company Grasis, part of the PJSC United Machine-Building Plants group, is an equipment manufacturer and EPC contractor in the field of air and gas separation.
