UKRAINE: STRONG GROWTH IN OLIVE OIL IMPORTS FROM ITALY IN EARLY 2026

In January–February 2026, Ukraine’s imports of olive oil totaled €2.23 million, marking a 28.55% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Italy reinforced its role as the leading supplier, with exports reaching €1.08 million, a 52.87% rise year-on-year. Italy’s market share expanded to 48.41%, further consolidating its dominance in the Ukrainian market.Spain, traditionally a top competitor, saw a modest decline of 5%, with exports falling to €582,071 and its market share dropping to 26.16%. Greece experienced a sharper contraction of 34.2%, supplying €246,298 and holding 11.07% of the market.Poland emerged as a significant new player, with exports surging to €309,186, a remarkable 2106.23% increase, capturing 13.9% of Ukraine’s imports. Smaller contributions came from France (€9,700), Germany (€198), Tunisia (€167), Lithuania (€162), Belgium (€116), and the United States (€91). Turkey and the United Kingdom, which had supplied in 2025, recorded no exports in early 2026. (ICE KIEV)
