TOURISM INFLUX INTO LEBANON INCREASED BY 45% YEAR-ON-YEAR IN 2025
According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals into Lebanon reached 1,635,490 in 2025. This figure denotes a year-on-year increase in tourism influx of 44.6%, up from 1,131,100 during 2024. The recovery rate of tourist influx (compared to 2019 levels) into the country recorded 84.5% in 2025, up by 26.0 percentage points (pps) from levels in 2024 and down marginally by 1.6 pps from levels in 2023. In detail, looking at the distribution of tourist arrivals by nationality in 2025, the highest contributors were Europeans with 45.8% of total tourist arrivals into Lebanon. The second and third highest contributions came from Arab countries and America with 22.1% and 19.0% of total tourist arrivals during the year respectively. Africa, Oceania and Asia followed with 4.6%, 4.3% and 4.2% of total tourist arrivals into Lebanon. Other countries made a marginal contribution to the total with 47 tourist arrivals. Of the aforementioned nationalities, arrivals coming from the United Nations recorded a year-on-year decrease of 37.1% between 2024 and 2025. On the other hand, all other nationalities recorded year-on-year increases during the period ranging from 8.5% to 53.6%, as per data from the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism. Looking at the number of tourist arrivals into Lebanon during December 2025, 152,391 individuals came to the country during the month, up from 73,704 tourists in December 2024 almost doubling year-on-year.
