INDONESIA TO IMPLEMENT WEEKLY WFH AND ENERGY OPTIMIZATION PROGRAM STARTING APRIL

Effective April 1, 2026, the Indonesian government has implemented a strategic mandate to enhance economic resilience. Key measures include a mandatory weekly WFH day (Fridays) for Civil Servants (ASN), with private sectors encouraged to follow suit. To optimize the state budget, domestic travel is cut by 50% and international travel by 70%, resulting in a Rp121–130 trillion budget refocusing toward national priorities. In the energy sector, subsidized fuel purchases are now capped at 50 liters daily via MyPertamina barcodes, though prices remain unchanged. Additionally, the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program is adjusted to five days a week, saving Rp25 trillion. Essential services—including health, finance, and logistics—remain fully operational under standard office settings.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5503745/seskab-transformasi-budaya-kerja-dan-efisiensi-energi-berlaku-1-april (ICE GIACARTA)
