In 2025, 224 international companies from 49 countries established themselves in Vienna, generating investments of around €525 million. This led to the creation of 1,682 new jobs, representing a significant increase of 80% compared to the previous year. Companies from Germany, Hungary, and Italy were particularly well represented. The key sectors included IT, telecommunications, software, trade, and business-related services, with 60 new companies in the IT sector alone. Although the number of new establishments remains below the record level of 2019, Vienna continues to be an attractive location for international companies, particularly in the technology sector, which is experiencing strong growth.
