Direct Astana–Ulaanbaatar flights to launch in JuneKazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines will begin operating direct flights between Astana and Ulaanbaatar from June 2, Mongolian media reported.The new service is expected to facilitate business contacts and expand cultural and humanitarian ties, the reports said.According to the website of Chinggis Khaan International Airport, there is currently no direct air service between the capitals of Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Travelers from Ulaanbaatar can fly directly only to Almaty, with flights operated by Mongolia’s Hunnu Air.SCAT Airlines is one of Kazakhstan’s largest carriers.
