INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION IN UKRAINE SHOWS 20% ANNUAL GROWTH, DESPITE THE FULL-SCALE WAR.
After the start of Russian aggression, the commissioning of industrial areas in Ukraine declined sharply as expected, but the sector later began to recover. During January-September 2025, commissioning increased by 23% year-over-year to 852,500 square meters. For the whole of 2024, the growth was 16%: 987,000 square meters of industrial areas were commissioned, which is only 12% less than in pre-war 2021.Industrial construction has become the core of the industry, displacing infrastructure. Among the large industrial facilities put into operation last year, we can note the €42M Nestlé plant in Volyn that produces vermicelli and the ₴400M Bakery Food Investment frozen bakery products production facility opened in the Zakarpattia region. The leading regions in terms of commissioning industrial facilities last year were Kyiv, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Odesa and Poltava. The total area of planned industrial building and warehouse construction in January-September 2025 decreased by 29% year-over-year to 1.18 million square meters. At the same time, in 2024 this figure almost doubled, amounting to 2.3 million square meters, which was 35% higher than the pre-war level of 2021. Among the coming industrial facilities, the €280M Kingspan building materials production complex in the Lviv region stands out.https://ubn.news/industrial-construction-in-ukraine-shows-20-annual-growth-despite-the-full-scale-war/ (ICE KIEV)
