U.S.-based Air Products plans to expand presence in KazakhstanThe head of Kazakh state oil and gas company KazMunayGas, Askhat Khasenov, met Tuesday with Ivo Bols, president of Europe and Africa for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., to discuss cooperation in oil refining and petrochemicals, the company said."During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in oil refining and petrochemicals, as well as investment opportunities," KazMunayGas said in a statement Tuesday. "Air Products also shared its plans to expand its presence in Kazakhstan."Air Products presented its technological capabilities in industrial gas and chemical production.The two sides expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.Last year, Air Products was reported to be considering participating in the construction of a petrochemical complex in Kazakhstan.Air Products is a global leader in technology solutions for energy, metals and sustainable chemistry.
