Tokayev discusses AI infrastructure cooperation with NVIDIA, Firebird AIPresident of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with representatives of NVIDIA and Firebird AI to discuss potential cooperation on artificial intelligence infrastructure, the presidential press service said.Participants included Nico Caprez, vice president for global AI infrastructure growth at NVIDIA, and Firebird AI co-founders Razmig Hovaghimian and Alexander Yesayan.The discussions focused on the design, construction and operation of AI infrastructure.“Kazakhstan aims to become a fully digital country within the next three years,” Tokayev said.He said the launch of supercomputer clusters based on Nvidia technologies would mark an important step toward achieving that goal and strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty.Tokayev also outlined plans for a strategic “Data Center Valley” project in Ekibastuz aimed at developing computing infrastructure with access to electricity, telecommunications and tax incentives for investors.Representatives of Nvidia and Firebird AI briefed the president on the implementation of a similar project in Armenia.Following the meeting, the sides agreed to explore opportunities for cooperation in developing Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem.NVIDIA is a U.S. technology company and a global leader in graphics processing units (GPU) and artificial intelligence. Its technologies are used in some of the world’s largest supercomputers and cloud platforms for neural network training.Firebird AI is a technology company specializing in large-scale AI infrastructure, including the design and operation of high-performance data centers, and is a key NVIDIA partner in deploying advanced computing systems.
