ENERGY MINISTER: GAS EXCHANGE COOPERATION AGREEMENT REACHED BETWEEN JORDAN, LEBA
Energy Minister Saleh Kharabsheh announced on Monday that Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria have reached an agreement to cooperate on gas exchange. Speaking after a trilateral meeting with his Lebanese and Syrian counterparts on energy integration, Kharabsheh said that technical preparations, contractual arrangements, and studies to upgrade gas transmission networks have been completed in recent months. He added that Jordan’s role under the agreement will be to use its infrastructure to import liquefied natural gas (LNG), regasify it, and transport it to Syria through the Arab Gas Pipeline.
