Culture Minister Fadli Zon announced Indonesia’s return to the Venice Biennale 2026 after a six-year absence. The Indonesian Pavilion will feature 14 artists under the theme "Printing the Unprinted." The delegation includes a diverse mix: seven established maestros like Agus Suwage and seven emerging artists, including individuals from disaster-affected regions in Aceh and North Sumatra, as well as a disabled artist from Papua. Participants will undergo a two-month residency in Europe, incorporating an art healing program in Florence. This participation aims to showcase Indonesia’s artistic potential globally and foster international networks.
