A SURVEY of 237 manufacturing firms showed their production increased in value and volume in March, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Wednesday. According to preliminary data from the PSA’s Monthly Survey of Selected Industries, the Value of Production Index (VaPI) grew 10.5 percent from 4.5 percent in February and 0.1 percent a year earlier. This was the highest rate since January 2023’s 13.2 percent. Meanwhile, the Volume of Production Index (VoPI) climbed to 7.8 percent from 3.1 percent in the previous month and a contraction of 0.6 percent in March 2025.
