Syrian Economy and Industry Minister Nidal al-Shaar met Wednesday with an Emirati business delegation led by businessman Mohamed Alabbar to discuss investment opportunities and economic cooperation between Syria and the United Arab Emirates.  The meeting, attended by UAE Ambassador to Syria Hamad Rashid bin Alwan Al-Habsi, focused on expanding trade and investment ties and reviewing opportunities across several sectors, according to the Syrian Economy Ministry.  Both sides stressed the importance of creating a favorable investment environment and supporting economic development efforts.  The Emirati delegation included businessmen Nabil Dawood Murad, Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi, Mohammed Musabbeh Al Kaabi, and Hisham Mohammed Ibrahim Suleiman.  The talks come amid broader efforts by Syria and the UAE to strengthen economic relations and expand channels of industrial and commercial cooperation.
