Jordan Green Ammonia Company (JGA) CEO Wael Suleiman on Tuesday said that the company’s green ammonia project is expected to reach financial close by the end of 2027, with commercial exports to global markets projected to begin in 2030 following a three-year construction phase. Suleiman described the Aqaba-based project as a major step in Jordan’s transition towards a green economy and one of the Kingdom’s largest clean energy investments, with a value exceeding $1 billion. The project is backed by European financing through a Jordanian-Emirati-Polish partnership with Dutch technical support, according to a JGA statement. (ICE AMMAN)
