USDA forecasts Kazakhstan wheat exports at 9 million tonnes in 2026-2027The U.S. Department of Agriculture has released its initial forecasts for Kazakhstan's grain exports for the 2026-2027 agricultural year, projecting wheat exports at 9 million tonnes.In its May outlook, USDA forecast wheat production in Kazakhstan at 15 million tonnes for the July 2026 to June 2027 marketing year. Imports are projected at 700,000 tonnes.At the same time, USDA raised its forecast for Kazakh wheat exports in the current agricultural year, which ends in June 2026, to 11.5 million tonnes. The department had previously estimated exports at 11 million tonnes in April.The import forecast for the current year was raised to 800,000 tonnes from 700,000 tonnes, while the wheat harvest forecast was unchanged at 19.3 million tonnes.According to USDA data, Kazakhstan exported 10.2 million tonnes of wheat in the previous agricultural year (July 2024 to June 2025), while imports totaled 500,000 tonnes.
