UAE FIRMS EMBRACE “ANYWHERE” WORK: NO MASS RETURN TO OFFICES PLANNED

Remote and flexible work is no longer a temporary crisis response in the UAE; it has become a permanent fixture of the corporate landscape. According to the latest data from Mercer , a staggering 82% of UAE firms have no plans to send a mass return to the office. Instead, the trend is evolving from simple "work-from-home" models into international remote working , with 59% of UAE employers now establishing formal policies that allow staff to work across borders. Driven by business continuity needs and a desire to retain top talent in a competitive market, these flexible arrangements are widespread across the Gulf, with similar trends observed in Kuwait (64%) and Lebanon (86%). As regional firms shift toward long-term workforce management, the focus is now on refining these "anywhere" work policies to ensure consistent communication and operational stability. (ICE DUBAI)
