Production at Risha gas field has increased from 7.5 million cubic metres to 80 million cubic metres following efforts to expand production capacity and drill new wells after years of slowdown, the National Petroleum Company (NPC) said on Thursday. The remarks came during a visit by the Lower House Energy and Mineral Resources Committee to the company, headed by MP Ayman Abu Hanieh, to review its operations and future plans in the energy sector.
