KLAIPĖDA PORT TO INVEST OVER €70 MILLION IN NEW CRUISE TERMINAL AND PORT BUILDIN G

Klaipėda State Seaport plans to invest more than €70 million in the construction of a new cruise ship terminal and port management building on Lithuania’s Baltic coast. The project was presented during a construction ceremony attended by Lithuanian Transport Minister Juras Taminskas.The new infrastructure will include a quay suitable for cruise ships and, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, for NATO vessels. The new management building will bring together port authority functions, including vessel traffic control, design and administration.Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The project may be of interest to foreign companies active in port infrastructure, engineering, maritime technologies, terminal equipment and cruise-related services. (ICE VARSAVIA)
