INDONESIA AND RUSIA STRENGTHEN STRATEGIC INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION VIA BRICS 2026
Indonesia and Russia have strengthened their strategic industrial cooperation during a bilateral meeting at the BRICS PartNIR 2026 Forum in Xiamen, China. This collaboration follows Indonesia's BRICS membership, aimed at bolstering national economic and industrial resilience. The countries discussed mutual opportunities in high-potential sectors, technology innovation, and global supply chains. Economic relations remain positive, with non-oil and gas bilateral trade reaching approximately $1 billion in the first quarter of 2026. Additionally, both nations welcomed the Indonesia–EAEU FTA signed in December 2025.
