World Bank maintains forecast for Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 2026-2027The World Bank forecasts Kazakhstan's economic growth at 4.6% in 2026 and at 3.9% in 2027, according to the bank's June review of the global economy.These estimates have not changed compared to the April forecast. In 2028, the country's GDP growth will slow to 3.5%.As reported, the National Bank of Kazakhstan has revised its forecast for economic growth for 2026 upwards to 4.5%-5.5% from the previously expected 3.5%-4.5%. The regulator explained the revision in terms of higher actual economic activity and improved price conditions in the oil market.According to the National Bank's forecast, GDP growth in 2027-2028 will be 3.5%-4.5% per year. In the medium term, economic dynamics will be shaped in conditions of more balanced domestic demand and lower oil prices.According to the Kazakh National Economy Ministry, the country's GDP grew 6.5% in 2025 after growing 4.8% in 2024.
