The European Commission has endorsed Lithuania’s Social Climate Plan, which will mobilise €884 million between 2026 and 2032. Of this amount, €663 million will come from the EU Social Climate Fund, while the remaining part will be covered by Lithuania.In the buildings sector, the plan will support access to energy-efficient housing, covering between 50% and 85% of renovation costs. It will also finance the construction or purchase of new highly energy-efficient social housing and the establishment of Energy Advisory Hubs for vulnerable households.In the transport sector, the plan includes support for electric vehicles for vulnerable families and micro-enterprises, the installation of public and private charging points, micro-mobility measures, bicycle purchases, cycle lane development, zero-emission buses and on-demand transport services in rural areas.
