Fixed capital investment in Kazakhstan increased 7% in Jan-MayFixed capital investment in Kazakhstan in January-May 2026 rose by 7% year-on-year to make 6.7 trillion tenge, said the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.According to statistics, the most attractive sectors for investment were the industrial production sector (42.9% of all fixed capital investment), which includes the extractive industry (15%) and the manufacturing sector (15.7%), real estate (19.3%), transportation and warehousing (16%), as well as agriculture, forestry and fishery (5.5%).Spending on the acquisition of machinery, equipment and vehicles, as well as their major repairs, rose 37% during the period.Investment mostly came from equity capital of the business entities, totaling 4.543 trillion tenge.Volume of capital investments by large enterprises for January-May 2026 reached 2.174 trillion tenge.Public funds accounted for 14.4% of total investment in the reporting period, while companies’ own funds made up 67.4%, bank loans 5.7% and other borrowed funds 12.5%, including 3.5% from non-residents.
