UK's Car Park Transformer to invest nearly 180 bln tenge in Kazakh roadside service stationsBritish solar carport specialist Car Park Transformer will invest nearly 180 billion tenge to build 250 roadside service stations along Kazakhstan's major highways by 2030, the government said Monday.Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed a decree approving the investment agreement between the Transport Ministry and Car Park Transformer LLP, with total private investment set at 179.5 billion tenge, the government press service said.The first 50 stations will be built and installed this year. The complexes will feature multi-functional facilities with landscaped grounds, sanitary facilities, retail and service outlets, electric vehicle charging stations and solar power installations.The new stations will be located at rest areas along international and national highways. Kazakhstan currently has 1,428 roadside service facilities along such routes.Car Park Transformer specializes in solar-panel carports and EV charging solutions. The company earlier signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kazakh Transport Ministry and said it intended to use local supply chains and hire local workers.Car Park Transformer LLP was registered in the town of Kosshy in July 2025, with solar power generation listed as its primary activity.
