INDONESIA TARGETS UP TO 19.1 MILLION FOREIGN TOURISTS IN 2027

The Indonesian government has set a target of attracting 19.1 million foreign tourists in 2027 to boost the national tourism sector. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, this ambition relies on aggressive promotion and the development of new tourism destinationns beyond Bali. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, stated that the ministry will focus on improving infrastructure and digital marketing to reach a wider range of international travelers. This strategy aims to enhance economic growth and provide greater job opportunities for local communities.
