INDONESIA’S IKN BREAKS GROUND ON SMART CITY CENTER BACKED BY SOUTH KOREAN GRANT

Indonesia and South Korea are strengthening their smart city partnership through the construction of the Smart City Cooperation Center (SCCC) in New Capital City Nusantara (IKN), supported by a 9.9 billion won (IDR115.9 billion) grant. The project, led by the Nusantara Capital Authority and South Korea’s government, is part of broader collaboration to develop Indonesia’s future capital into a technology-driven smart city. IKN Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized that the center will function as a learning laboratory and platform to introduce South Korean technologies. The SCCC will act as a hub for collaboration, digital and environmental research, and technological innovation in Nusantara. Targeted for completion within about 10 months and full operation by the end of 2027, the project also includes developing a Smart City Masterplan and Smart Building Protocol, along with capacity-building programs and the Nusantara Smart City Forum to support long-term cooperation.Source: https://indonesiabusinesspost.com/6735/business-and-investment/ikn-breaks-ground-on-smart-city-center-backed-by-south-korean-grant (ICE GIACARTA)
