Inditex to make Kazakhstan its Central Asian logistics hubSpanish retail giant Inditex plans to make Kazakhstan its main logistics hub for Central Asia, the Kazakh presidential press service said Wednesday.The plans were outlined at a meeting in Brussels between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Inditex deputy CEO Santiago Martínez Lage Sobredo. The company already operates widely across Kazakhstan and is building a regional logistics hub at the Almaty and Karaganda airports.Tokayev welcomed the move and said Inditex could eventually go beyond logistics to set up textile production in the country. Martínez-Lage noted the favorable investment climate and briefed the president on the company's growth plans.Inditex brands, including Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti and Bershka, are already well established in Kazakhstan's retail market.
