Kazakhstan offers Turkmenistan 178 products for export worth over $200 mlnKazakhstan has composed a list of 178 non-resource commodity items for supply to Turkmenistan with a combined export potential exceeding $200 million, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration said.The proposal was presented during the Kazakh-Turkmen business forum held in Astana as part of the 14th meeting of the two countries' intergovernmental commission.According to the ministry, the most promising areas for expanding exports include metallurgy, mechanical engineering, food processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as the production of vehicles, pharmaceutical products and construction materials.In January-April 2026, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan reached $180 million, up 7% compared with the same period a year earlier. Kazakh exports rose 18.9% to $114.8 million.During the forum, the sides also discussed the establishment of mutual trade houses, the development of e-commerce, trade financing mechanisms and measures to boost bilateral trade.Several bilateral documents were signed following the event, including a memorandum of cooperation between QazTrade JSC and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as agreements on cooperation in e-commerce, investment and construction.
