The Director of the Madaba Water Administration, Engineer Mufid Al-Lozi, stated that the €25 million grant recently approved by the Cabinet is part of an integrated project to expand the Madaba wastewater treatment plant and rehabilitate and expand the sewage networks, with a total value of €123 million. He noted that the project's funding came following the Cabinet's approval last week of a €25 million grant agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD), provided by the European Union. The remaining cost of the project was covered through a €97 million loan from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the German Development Bank (KfW). (ICE AMMAN)
