Abu Dhabi is on track to launch its commercial electric air taxi service by late 2026 or early 2027, transforming its urban transportation network through a comprehensive partnership with Archer Aviation and Abu Dhabi Aviation. The project has rapidly advanced from framework agreements to physical infrastructure development, with plans for over 10 integrated vertiports—including sites at Zayed International Airport and Yas Island—and regulatory air corridor mapping already underway. Supported by Abu Dhabi Airports as the primary delivery partner, the initiative will also feature an AI-driven, unified digital mobility platform by the Integrated Transport Centre, allowing residents to seamlessly plan, book, and pay for land, maritime, and aerial trips within a single application.
