Kazakhstan compiles list of goods banned from online marketplacesKazakhstan's Trade and Integration Ministry has compiled a list of goods banned or restricted from sale on online marketplaces, the ministry's press service said.The ban covers various firearms, pneumatic weapons with caliber above 4.5 mm, ammunition, gas pistols, as well as weapons with radioactive or biological effects.According to the Interior Ministry, certain types of weapons that are legal for citizens to own — including self-defense and hunting items — may only be sold through licensed shops.The ban also covers switchblades over 90 mm, brass knuckles, flails, slingshots (excluding sporting equipment), bows, crossbows and underwater hunting gear.Sales of saxaul wood products are banned while the moratorium on felling the tree remains in effect through 2028, except for sales by state forest owners.Vapes are also prohibited from sale.Alcohol and alcohol-like products are restricted, with advertising of such goods also banned.Meat, milk, eggs and products made from them cannot be sold without veterinary and sanitary inspection.The wholesale and retail sale of medicines and medical devices that have not been registered in Kazakhstan is also prohibited.The ministry said the list is informational and consolidates existing requirements.
