Kazakhstan expects agricultural exports to reach $7.2 bln in 2026Kazakhstan's agricultural exports totaled $3 billion in January-April 2026, up 36% from the same period last year, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov told President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a meeting.The ministry expects full-year agri-food exports to reach $7.2 billion in 2026, according to the presidential press service.Saparov also briefed the president on first-half agricultural sector performance. Food production rose 14.7% in the six-month period, while the physical volume index of agricultural output grew 4.4%, including 7.7% in crop production and 4.4% in livestock, he said.The minister said the government is pushing ahead with measures to raise the share of processed agri-products to 70%, expand subsidized lending, boost farm machinery leasing and digitalize the sector.The ministry projects gross agricultural output to grow 5.9% in 2026, with food production up 9.5% and beverages up 10.5%. Investment in the sector's fixed assets is expected to reach 2.2 trillion tenge, the minister said.Tokayev instructed the government to improve agricultural sector efficiency, boost production of high-value-added goods, expand export potential and strengthen the country's food security.
