Kazakhstan's oil output falls 8.4% to 45.7 mln tonnes in H1 2026Kazakhstan produced 45.7 million tonnes of oil in January-June 2026, down 8.4% from the same period last year, Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said."In the first six months of this year, we produced 45.7 million tonnes, or 91.6% of the comparable period last year," Akkenzhenov told a government meeting in Astana on Tuesday.In January-May 2026, oil and gas condensate production fell 10.2% year-on-year to 37.025 million tonnes. Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin said Kazakhstan lost about 5 million tonnes in oil production in January-April, attributing the decline to "the situation surrounding the CPC and Tengiz."Kazakhstan produced about 99.6 million tonnes of oil in 2025.Akkenzhenov said the country plans to produce 98 million tonnes of oil in 2026.
