National imports through Aqaba Port increased by 43.7 per cent during the first half of 2026, reaching 7.095 million tonnes compared with 4.936 million tonnes during the same period last year, according to the Jordan Shipping Association. Association Secretary General Mohammad Dalabih said that the volume of exports through Aqaba Port declined by 7.8 per cent during the same period, reaching 4.953 million tonnes compared with 5.374 million tonnes in the first half of 2025.
