In the framework of the EU-funded MEDSHIFTGREEN project, the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) has officially launched the national stakeholder consultation process through a series of coordination meetings held with the focal points at the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).  The meetings brought together the LDN’s committee with the Ministry’s Programme Development Team, the Agricultural TVET Curriculum Design Unit, and the Head of Education and Extension Services aiming at sharing necessary information, gathering feedback, and aligning expectations for a better implementation.   The initial sessions marked an important milestone in building a shared vision for strengthening green skills and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) within Lebanon's Agricultural TVET sector.   The key outcomes of the meetings include, but not limited to; the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between LDN and the MoA to support the implementation of the MEDSHIFTGREEN project; ensuring the Ministry’s support in disseminating the National Needs Assessment and Digital Readiness Survey; the launching of the Green Lab co-design procedure to identify practical demonstrations, equipment, and innovative technologies at the Ministry-affiliated TVET schools; as well as reviewing the existing Agricultural TVET curriculum and the approval of the next validation phase.   The partnership between LDN and the MoA laid the foundation for a resilient, innovative, and sustainable agricultural workforce by equipping young people with the green skills needed to address climate challenges, and support the transition toward a greener economy.
