Turkey's Orzaks to build $43 million supplement plant in southern KazakhstanTurkey's Orzaks Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industry Inc.  has started building a dietary supplement plant in Turkistan region, the regional governor's office said Tuesday.The company's Kazakh subsidiary, Orzax Central Asia, is investing 20.4 billion tenge ($43 million) in the project and expects to complete construction in 2027.The plant will occupy a 10-hectare site within the Turan special economic zone.The agreement to set up supplement production in Kazakhstan was reached during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Turkey in July 2025. Tokayev met with Orzax Group board chairman Selman Alimoglu and backed the project, highlighting its importance for Kazakhstan's pharmaceutical industry and export potential.Orzax Central Asia signed a financing agreement of up to 25 million euros with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the facility in December 2025, according to Kazakh Invest.Orzaks Pharmaceuticals is a Turkish dietary supplement maker that exports more than 150 products to over 50 countries.
