KazMunayGas' European arm swings to $87 million profit in first halfKMG International, the European subsidiary of Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas, posted a net profit of $87 million in the first half of 2026, swinging from a loss of $6 million a year earlier, the parent company said Wednesday."Consolidated EBITDA rose 40% year-on-year to $203 million," the company said.Retail sales volumes at KMGI increased 7% to 1.444 million tonnes, driven mainly by higher wholesale volumes in Romania and Moldova. Non-fuel sales in Romania rose 6% to $26.1 million.KMG International is registered in Romania and operates more than 1,300 retail outlets in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Georgia under the Rompetrol brand.
