KazMunayGas' Romanian refinery cuts throughput 6.8% in first halfThe Petromidia refinery in Romania, owned by Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas, processed 2.6 million tonnes of crude in the first half of 2026, down 6.8% from 2.789 million tonnes a year earlier, the company said Wednesday.Diesel output stood at 1.159 million tonnes, gasoline at 700,000 tonnes and Jet A1 aviation fuel at 225,000 tonnes, according to the statement.Petromidia is part of KMG International, KazMunayGas' Romanian subsidiary. KMG International operates more than 1,300 retail outlets in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Georgia under the Rompetrol brand.KazMunayGas is Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company, representing state interests in exploration, production, refining and transportation.
