PHILIPPINE ANNUAL INFLATION SLOWS TO 6.2% IN JULY
Philippine annual inflation slowed to 6.2 per cent in July from the previous month’s 6.4 per cent, due to a slower pace of increase in transport costs, the statistics agency said on Wednesday (Aug 5). The consumer price index was below the 6.3 per cent median forecast in a Reuters poll. It was within the central bank’s 5.6 per cent to 6.6 per cent forecast for July. The July print brought average inflation in the first seven months of 2026 to 5 per cent. https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/international/asean/philippine-annual-inflation-slows-6-2-july (ICE SINGAPORE)
