UKRAINIAN BUSINESS SENTIMENT REMAINS POSITIVE IN JULY

Ukrainian businesses maintained positive assessments of their economic performance for the fifth consecutive month in July, according to the National Bank of Ukraine’s (NBU) Business Activity Expectations Index (BAEI). The index stood at 50.1, slightly down from 50.4 in June but well above 48.3 in July 2025.Positive sentiment was supported by international financial assistance, resilient consumer demand, infrastructure and road construction funding, stable energy conditions, improving inflation expectations and seasonal factors. At the same time, intensified attacks on critical infrastructure, logistics disruptions and a shortage of skilled workers continued to weigh on business activity.Construction remained the most optimistic sector, with its index at 54.2, followed by trade at 50.8 and industry at 50.7. The services sector was the only one to report subdued expectations, with its index falling to 48.8.Businesses across most sectors continued to expect slower growth in input and selling prices. Labour market conditions, however, remained challenging, with only construction companies expecting an increase in employment.https://bank.gov.ua/ua/news/all/biznes-zberig-pozitivni-otsinki-rezultativ-svoyeyi-diyalnosti--pidsumki-opituvannya-pidpriyemstv-u-lipni# (ICE KIEV)
