INDONESIA'S F&B EXPORTS HIT US$6.25 BILLION, RANKING 4TH IN ASEAN

Indonesia’s food and beverage (F&B) exports have reached US$6.25 billion, making the country the fourth-largest F&B exporter in ASEAN, according to Deputy Trade Minister Dyah Roro Esti. Indonesia ranks behind Thailand (US$17 billion), Vietnam (US$8.8 billion), and Singapore (US$6.5 billion). The government sees significant potential to further increase exports by helping local producers access international markets through its network of Trade Attachés and Indonesian Trade Promotion Centers (ITPCs) in 33 countries. The Ministry of Trade is focusing on expanding the global presence of Indonesian F&B products, particularly in the growing halal market, where the Middle East offers strong opportunities. Esti also highlighted the increasing international footprint of Indonesian restaurants and businesses, as well as the important role of the Indonesian diaspora abroad as a key consumer base. These factors are expected to support continued growth in Indonesia’s F&B exports and strengthen its position in regional trade.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/426567/indonesias-fb-exports-hit-625-billion-ranking-4th-in-asean?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=desktop&utm_campaign=top_news (ICE GIACARTA)
